You can qualify for Mensa membership by showing evidence of a qualifying score in one of the many standard IQ tests we accept. The test must be administered by a fully registered psychologist.
If your test was taken outside Australia, please contact testing@mensa.org.au before making an application.
If you have or can get evidence of a score at or above the 98th percentile in one of these tests (listed below), we will assess that evidence and, if it is acceptable, offer you membership. You can order the form, which is to be completed by the psychologist who tested you, by applying on line. The cost for the form and evaluation by our Consulting Psychologist is $40.
If you had such a qualifying score in a test at any time in the past it can be used as prior evidence, even if it was done as a child and you are now an adult, or if you have suffered from some condition or accident which may have affected your mental capacity.

* For the Wechsler suite of tests (including WAIS, WISC, and WPPSI), Australian Mensa accepts a result in the 98th percentile for either of the Full Scale IQ (FSIQ) OR the General Ability Index (GAI).
** Australian Mensa accepts IQ test editions that were current in the country in which the test was carried out at the time of testing. For example, the WISC IV was a current test in Australia in the year 2004, and a 2004 report result in the 98th percentile is acceptable even today.
